THE BIGGER PICTURE
After terminating a ten-year relationship with Liverpool in 2022 and being instrumental in the club's transition under Klopp, Edwards has turned down multiple approaches from teams, including Chelsea. As for Liverpool, he declined an original offer from FSG in January to return to his role as Liverpool's sporting director, and if he accepts the invitation to come back, he likely expects full authority in a more senior role, like the head of football operations.
